Sooooo, I’ve had to abandon my beading for a while to do a temp job and it’s really opened my eyes.

By taking time away from the business I finally realised just how much time I was spending immersed in it.
As much as I miss it, it’s nice to have a break from it.

That said though, I can’t wait to get back to it

Not the most productive weekend

hmmm, ever have one of those weekend where you had so many plans to get so many things done and then… did NONE of them?

That, in a nutshell, was my weekend. Not happy. Or perhaps I’m being a little bit too critical of myself. Everyone deserves some off time right?!?

I was hoping to add a few more items to the online shop tonight, but time has escaped me. So haven’t managed to add as many items as I would have liked.

Heeled Shoes for 3+ Year Olds…

Just read an article about a certain celeb 4yr old wearing kitten heels and apparently some shops are now stocking heeled shoes for 3 yr olds.

hmmm, I say let kiddies be kiddies before trying to make them into mini adults.

Dress-up and ‘pretending to be like Mummy’ is all good fun, but surely should be kept for play time, not every day. Do you agree or not? Feel free to leave me a comment.

hmmmm, so I set myself up with another blog site as I thought it would be a good idea to keep it slightly seperate from the business website. BUT, is that the best idea or should I just use the one linked to my website?? Decisions, Decisions!!

I’ve been playing around with a new format for my website.

Had positive reviews on it, so will shall see how it goes.

Still cannot get over how much work is involved in running a website, blog, and online shop.

I am a big believer in horoscopes, well that’s not entirely true, I only believe them if I like the sound of them.

Day Off

When you set up your own business it can be VERY difficult to have a day off. BUT, that’s exactly what I did yesterday, I felt I owed it to myself. So I went to meet my Mum for a cuppa and a catch up. However, I found myself talking about my business – that’s the problem when your job is actually your hobby as well It also helps that Mum is a bit of a beader herself. Then I went to meet a friend in London for a few cocktails. I swear all I saw was jewellery. A chandelier became a pendant, colour schemes in various bars became colour schemes I could incorporate into my new designs, then to top it off I found myself being dragged into a bead shop. I left empty handed, only to find myself dragged (honestly) back in there minutes later and this time I left with some gorgeous Paua Shell Beads. All bought and paid for, don’t worry.
I even found myself people-watching, but not in the usual way – I didn’t look in their eyes or at their clothes or even their mannerisms (or maybe just a bit, who can resist) but I was checking out their accessories. So apologies if you happened to be one of those who had to endure my manic stare as I tried to memorise part of your necklace and/or ear-rings…..
